MEET NICOLE!

Hi! I’m a senior at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, studying Broadcast and Digital Journalism. I am a student journalist whose work ethic includes integrity, honesty, and accuracy in every story. My greatest growth has come from putting the subjects of my stories at ease and telling stories that matter in my community.

I’m a multimedia journalist for CitrusTV, the student-run television studio at Syracuse University. After joining the station’s News Department in October 2020, I was the first member of my class to be a cleared reporter. Since then, I’ve covered news throughout the University and Central New York Area multiple days a week, mostly producing day-turn packages and live VOSOTs ready to-air. As a sophomore, I was recognized as one of the station’s senior reporters.

Along with reporting for the station, I also anchor our evening and morning newscasts at CitrusTV. I was elected as the station’s Associate General Manager for the 2022 year, leading an organization of over 350 members. When I’m not chasing a story, I’m definitely reading a book, at the beach, running outside, or cycling!

I am so grateful to have interned at local stations across New York at WCBS, News 12 Long Island, and CNYCentral – the NBC and CBS affiliate in Syracuse. I’ve learned from reporters, anchors, producers, and assignment editors; absorbing journalism knowledge any chance I get! I’m continuing my internship experience this year as a Broadcast Intern at the TODAY Show.
